DSC_0073DSC_0134Maybe the photos speak for themselves … we enjoyed our time in Camden.  The photo of the harbor was taken from the State Park that overlooks the town during a short road tour of the area thanks to Tom.  William and Karen walked up to the same spot a couple of days later, burning off many calories on the way.  The photo of the yacht in the mist is Tom and Jane’s J46 taken as they were departing for their short cruise.  And, yes, that is me trying out our latest toy, a SUP (stand-up paddle board).  The chilly Maine water was a very good incentive to remain upright and it worked!  The 122ft motor yacht in the background ‘Atlantide’ was built in Dartmouth, UK in 1930 and designed by Alfred Mylne, the naval architect responsible for the first Royal yacht Britannia. She actively participated in the evacuation of soldiers from Dunkirk, in WW2, on one occasion towing a landing craft full of soldiers.
