We had serious doubts that we would be doing what we are currently doing until the last few days.  Finally everything started coming together.  The agent found a suitable tennant to rent our house while we are gone.  We packed everything up and just a week ago on Wednesday movers helped us move the vast majority of it into storage.  But it still took another couple of days to clear out the final pieces and thoroughly clean the house in preparation for the tennants.

So, a week ago today we moved on to the boat.  At that stage, the yard was still reassembling the engine using the 6 valves that had been flown in from Japan.  With a few more adjustments, we were finally happy that the engine was performing well and vibrations had been reduced to a minimum. So, off to Annapolis we went to pick up our mainsail and new dinghy.

Now, having completed all boat inspections for safety, etc, we are ready to depart this morning with the rest of the (smaill) fleet of 5 boats bound for Bermuda.  Weather is not the most pleasant, but we hope to cross the Gulf Stream after the strong southerlies have passed and before the northerlies come in.

It has been a mammoth effort.  We would not be heading out today without all the help from Mike and Benjy to fix the plethora of smaller issues that have arisen along the way.
