We arrived safely in Bermuda just after daylight on Friday.  The last day or so was uneventful but still the sun barely made it through the clouds.  Overall, It was a bumpy, wet passage with too much motoring.

The ARC staff have been fantastic.  They greeted us at the customs dock, assisted with our lines, gave us a nice cool can of Dark and Stormy (rum and ginger beer) for each crew member and helped us to our berth in St George’s town dock.  That evening, there was a pirate party at the dinghy club.  So, with our skull and crossbones-adorned eye patches from the first aid kit, a bandanna or two, we joined in. Dark and Stormy’s flowed, pirate props abounded, barbecue provided by club members was great and then the local tribal dancers arrived.  A fun start to our time here.

Today, the sun has appeared and we are tackling some maintenance tasks. The genoa is back in action, but unfortunately we are facing more engine issues.  It is now refusing to start!  Hopefully we can sort it between now and Wednesday when we are scheduled to start the next leg.  Time will tell.
