The wind finally subsided so we plan to depart Cartagena tomorrow morning. Today was a beautifully sunny day so we were able to pack up the bikes and do the final boat preparations for a departure in the morning. However, we don’t plan to go very far …. just around the corner to Mar Menor but it should at least allow us to check that all systems are functioning well before we head over to the Balearics.

So good to have the blog up and running again. The “what-we-did-over-the-winter” was v entertaining, indeed educational. Glad you got to see the Mezquita, simply astonishing. Tho those pics of the guys in pointy hats were rather disquieting for those of us Stateside. Sorry you’ve had bad weather…but here it’s been glorious, weeks of cool sunny weather so all the blossoms stayed for over a month, a riot of colour (sic!). J+R

So finally you are on the move! Hurray! Glad the sun has come out again. We look forward to reading about progress and anchorages etc as you continue your exploration of the Balearics and beyond. Yes, loved the recent photos on your blog. Would love to be in Cartagena with you for one of their festivals. Maybe another year!

Have a wonderful summer in the Med and see you in the Baltic in July, to cool off! We are hoping to set sail from Denmark next weekend, probably just round the corner too

Yay!! Very happy to see that you’re out on the (relatively) open waters again! Happy sailing! xoxo
