We met up with Roger and Gay in Benures Bay on Norman Island on Sunday, where we anchored and had a very pleasant couple of days enjoying some good snorkeling (some with the aid of the Sub-Wing), good company and good shared meals onboard. They had been lent a new, as yet unnamed, 45 foot Moorings boat (pictured) because their own was not yet ready to release to them after refurbishing and being in the Sunsail charter fleet for the past 5 years.
Having found out that our new batteries did not make it onto the shipment from the US to the USVI this week and now are estimated to arrive on December 15th, we decided to dock the boat in Village Cay Marina, Road Town, where Howard spent many months last winter/spring, so we could work on a few other tasks. Road Town harbor seems to becoming more and more crowded, especially now that the new cruise terminal has been completed (and was occupied by the Queen Elizabeth when we arrived) and the charter docks have been expanded.
The real bonus attraction to Village Cay was being able to share some good times with our good friends, Sue and Ash who are also commissioning their boat here. Today we rented a car and managed to pick up several needed boat maintenance items as well as call in at Nanny Cay to see mutual friends, Kim and Mehrnez and explore a few more corners of the island by land. We hope to enjoy both couple’s company for at least some of our trip further south exploring more of the Leeward and Windward Caribbean islands.

Wow so envious, could jump on a plane tonight – did you meet my very unfriendly barracuda? The coral off the stern of the party boat Willie Tees close to the shore is the best I have ever seen.
So glad you made it without mishap.Where was that horribly 20 deck monstrosity docked – not Norman Island?
Must read your blogs more often, just found your card. Looking forward to seeing Sonia at Christmas.
Poor mum just hanging on

Very jealous to see that you are in the BVI. We could use some of that weather, currently have 30knot gusts which has put paid to dinghy sailing this afternoon.
Love to you both xx
