It’s hard to believe that we have been in North Sound for almost a week already.  Time has flown by so I guess we must be having fun….  it certainly has felt good to be able to relax a little and take life at a nice slow pace for a few days.  We have had one or two cloudy, even rainy, days but that has been just fine because it meant we could stay in our PJs as long as we wanted and, thanks to our wifi booster and that the Bitter End Yacht Club’s wifi has improved, we have often been able to connect to the internet from the boat and so catch up not only with family and friends but also Howard’s Medicare applications, etc.

What have we been doing, you might well ask?  Well, we had a nice walk on one of the Bitter End trails one day but were sad to see that the trails no longer cross over onto Byers Creek property, which we loved so much, so we haven’t repeated it again…. yet.  We went with Mizzy and Brian to Hog Heaven for lunch one day and were treated with a fantastic view on a beautiful clear, sunny day in addition to the excellent ribs.  I (Hope) have been enjoying a couple of morning yoga sessions with other Salty Dawgs.  Today we had another go at the SUP (Stand-up Paddle Board), then set off in the dinghy to the reefs at the other side of Eustacia Sound past Saba Rock, where we snorkeled for a while, then each had a go towing the other with a mask and the Sub-Wing behind the dinghy across the reef.  It was a lot of fun using the sub-wing to dive down and observe underwater life, then angle the “wing” up to take a breath at the surface.

Our next move is dependent upon the arrival of a part (an AC voltage regulator) for our generator.  Hopefully it will arrive this week in which case we will have it installed in Penns Landing Marina.  We also hope to meet up with friends Kim and Mehrnaz and cousins Roger and Gay, both of whom arrive in the BVI this week. However, if a suitable weather window comes up sooner, we may just depart for St Kitts so we will have time to explore a few islands before meeting Sonia in Guadeloupe on Dec 22nd.
