Out with the old generator ….
Howard happy to see the Onan generator out of the boat. Perhaps it was doomed to fail, Onan having fallen out of favor in God’s eyes according to Genesis …
In with the new (to us) …..
Installed, tested and protected from the elements…
And meanwhile, the cockpit table has been undergoing a facelift.. just one more coat of varnish before we reassemble it. Note also the return of the transom step, under which resides our liferaft.
So, we are still on target for a departure early next week for Bermuda. Chris Parker will be helping us find the best weather window and will provide us with individualized forecasts along the way….. Watch this space!

Have a fun and safe passage to BDA.

Great to see the photos of the work being done. I do hope the new generator set resolves your power issues and stays reliable. I’d be interested to know the make and model of the set you installed. Here with Ruth & Nick for a couple of nights on our annual migration.

An interesting update – It’s not often one reads about maritime generators in the context of Genesis – Noah didn’t have one. And Onan….someone was paying attention in RI classes!
Wishing you safe and pleasant passage up north. Do hope you can get to see some of the LV races – those big cats are amazing. And hope to see you again sometime if you’re around these parts. J+R
