Departing the BVI, Sandy Cay and Sandy Spit with Jost Van Dyke to port.

Just a quick update: As of our most recent log, we have done about 433 n. miles since leaving the BVI so are now more than half-way to Bermuda! We have been doing good speeds, sometimes with a couple of reefs in both the mainsail and genoa. We are pretty much on the same longitude all the way up but it is our latitude that we need to gain. We are currently at about 25*50 North whereas Bermuda is about 32*30 North. We expect the wind to drop slowly within the next day or so as we approach a ridge of high pressure around 30* North when we expect to have to motor for a while. Generator has come in handy for topping up the batteries.
