imageHaving enjoyed a few days anchored off Prickly Pear Island, moving across North Sound to Leverick But ay so we could make use of their laundry facilities, yesterday we decided to head off to Anagada with Kim and Mehrnez.   There was a break in the “Christmas Winds” so it was a good time to go.  We had a fabulous fast broad reach there so we made speeds overground of up to around 9 knots on occasion.  As you may know, Anagada is a low lying island that has an abundance of shallow waters all around it and lots of coral heads.  We thought about entering the channel towards the Anagada Reef Hotel but ended up anchoring off Pomato Point around the corner where there is less protection but more depth.  We then had a good brisk walk (about 1.5 miles) to meet up with Kim and Mehrnez for drinks where the photos were taken and returning to the boat before total darkness.  So, we missed out on lobster this time but look forward to having it in other islands,.  Anguilla we have heard, has great lobsters…..

We are now back in North Sound (for wi-fi) and plan to explore a few more anchorages on Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke over the next few days before we need to be back in Nanny Cay on Sunday.
